New York Post Wednesday, May 12, 2010 An American-Egyptian man was detained in Cairo after arriving from New York’s John F. Kennedy airport when officials discovered he was traveling with an arsenal of guns, knives and swords, the Associated Press reported Wednesday. Officials said the man tried to pass through Egyptian customs with a metal box containing two guns, 250 bullets, several swords, daggers and knives. The Egypt Air passenger was in custody and under investigation. Reports did not indicate whether the man had permits for the weapons, had checked them in legally or whether such cargo is legal on the airline. Full story here.
