		<description><![CDATA[ Lets talk demand first before we address the heat on the way. Our weekly export sales report came out Thursday showing 309 t.m.t. of wheat was sold last week down 40% from the week prior. So, demand remains weak but trend following funds continue to buy back previously purchased positions that four weeks ago were a record 77 thousand shorts and entering this week 53 thousand shorts held. Mondayâ€™s position sheet after this weekâ€™s buying should show their short only about 38 to 40 thousand contracts. Funds that are covering shorts are not turning bullish yet but are no longer as bearish so their moving their portfolio from a record short to possibly a neutral position leaving more room for price strength, especially if corn and beans rally next week off weather concerns. Funds change in thinking from bearish to neutral and potentially bullish comes from a perception the recent over production here and around the world has ended and ending stocks inventories at record levels now, will begin to decline. The issues prompting the changing mind set is. The U.S. a major producer exporter planted 6 m.a.. less wheat. Canadaâ€™s crop is called appreciably smaller due to record spring rains. European wheat producers are in the grips of a drought with Russia in their worst drought in 3 ...]]></description>

But, after Mondays high hit a two week 36 cent rally for corn, 42 cent two week bean rally and 45 cent wheat top put in, the old adage, if I made a thousand dollars, somebody made a million, came to play. Traderâ€™s fat with profits went to the bank. Mondays rally added in that ever present doubt on weather as well. Talk of a heat dome in the southern data the next week threatens the 10% of our nations course grains, while wet weather this week in Canada continues to delay their canola, wheat, and oat planting that eventually comes to compete against U.S. exports and China sees another seven dry and hot days ahead lending thought they may buy more weather insurance in the form of U.S. grains. It all came to play on a very volatile Monday. Each Monday looks to see a gap up or down opening as Monday the market prices in the weekâ€™s weather and impact on crop development. Itâ€™s done on the open and seldom is there follow through after opening highs or lows as the price is always big enough to encourage profit taking from position made from the Thursday and Friday prior. Never buy a higher Monday open or sell a lower Monday open. Whatâ€™s new, our weekly export inspection report came out Monday showing 11.4 m.b. of wheat was inspected to be exported near term. This was down from 14m.b. the week prior, 13 a year ago and weak four week average of 15 m.b. a 22 cent rally last week and 2 week 40 cent plus rally had importers look at record world and U.S. stocks and say, whoa Nelly.
