US President Barack Obama Denies Crisis With Israel

US President Barack Obama has denied there is a crisis in Washington's ties with Israel over its settlement plans, as a war of words continues. “Friends are going to disagree sometimes,” he said, days after one of his top aides strongly attacked plans for 1,600 new homes in East Jerusalem. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has distanced himself from an attack on Mr Obama by his brother-in-law. Hagai Ben-Artzi had accused the US leader of being anti-Semitic. Mr Netanyahu said he “strenuously” objected to his brother-in-law's comment and expressed his “deep appreciation” for Mr Obama's commitment to Israel's security. Israel's approval… Original Article: Forum: News/Activism

Obama On House Health Vote: A Vote’s A Vote [Obama GreenLights Slaughter House Rule!]

Obama On House Health Vote: A Vote's A Vote WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama indicated Wednesday that he does not oppose plans by House Democrats to pass his much-challenged health care overhaul without a direct vote. “I don't spend a lot of time worrying about what the procedural rules are in the House or Senate. What I can tell you is that the vote that's taken in the House will be a vote for health care reform,” Obama said in an interview with Fox News. “If people vote yes, whatever form that takes, that is going to be a vote… Original Article: Forum: News/Activism

Idiot-in-Chief: ObamaCare Will Reduce Premiums by 3000 Percent

Obama’s latest attempt to shove the government takeover of healthcare down the throats of the American people, regardless of consequences, has taken yet another insane turn. On Monday, March 15, in his Health Care Reform address in Strongsville, Ohio, President Obama claimed that ObamaCare will reduce health insurance premiums by as much as “3,000 percent.” The words lie and impossible are insufficient to describe the outright idiocy and ridiculousness of such a preposterous assertion. Unhappy with just spreading fear and misinformation about America’s healthcare system, scaring voters, trashing insurance companies, defaming conservative opponents, avoiding a fair and balanced debate of… Original Article: Forum: News/Activism

Ingrid Martin Channels Joe the Plumber, Debates Obama After Health Speech

During his speech in Strongsville, Ohio, on Monday afternoon, President Obama highlighted the struggle of Natoma Canfield, a cleaning woman from the nearby town of Medina who is fighting cancer without benefit of health insurance. But it was another woman, Ingrid Martin, an out-of-work health care sales representative, who caught his attention — and debated him on the merits of his health care plan for two minutes after his speech. Martin has been unemployed for almost six months. Her last job was with HealthSmart, a privately held health care benefit management organization. She has health insurance through her husband, who… Original Article: Forum: News/Activism

Health care foes 11 votes shy of defeating bill

Washington (CNN) — Five more House Democrats said Tuesday that they will vote against Senate health care legislation, which puts opponents of reform just 11 votes shy of the 216 needed to prevent President Obama from scoring a major victory on his top domestic priority. An ongoing CNN analysis shows that opposition in the House to the Senate health care plan has reached 205 members. A total of 27 House Democrats, including nine who supported the House plan in November, have indicated that they would join a unified Republican caucus in opposing the Senate plan, which passed in that chamber… Original Article: Forum: News/Activism

Teachers Finally Put To Test (Mass firings of school union hacks–hooray!)

Which news story did you find more shocking: A 41-year-old New Hampshire teacher texting nude photos of herself to students, or 93 Rhode Island teachers and staff getting fired for doing such a lousy job? “Touchy” teachers with 14-year-old Facebook friends? Been there, done that. But educators fired, merely for failing to educate? Now that’s new. Not only did the superintendent of Central Falls High fire everyone from the principal to the parking lot attendant, but she got a shout-out from President Obama himself. A Democrat praising the mass firing of unionized teachers? That’s like Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad cheering on… Original Article: Forum: News/Activism

Virginia AG: Obama birth certificate will ‘get tested’

(VIDEO AT LINK) Virginia Democratic blogger Ben Tribbett posts the audio of a conversation with Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli — recorded, the bloggers says, during the transition — taking Obama conspiracy theories extremely seriously, and talking about legal options. “It will get tested in my view when someone… when he signs a law, and someone is convicted of violating it and one of their defenses will be it is not a law because someone qualified to be President didn’t sign it,” Cuccinelli says on the recording, suggesting its “possible” that he would challenge it. “Someone is going to have to… Original Article: Forum: News/Activism

ADL chairman speaks out against argument that Israel endangers US soldiers.

And on Sunday, ABC News senior White House correspondent Jake Tapper asked US President Barack Obama’s top aide David Axelrod twice whether “Israel’s intransigence on the housing issue put the lives of US troops at risk.” “This is probably one of the most serious charges that we have ever heard,” Foxman said. “Israel is a country that has never asked American soldiers, even in its darkest moment, to risk its lives to defend it. From time to time there have been suggestions of security pacts, where the US would have to come to Israel’s aid, and all the leaders of Israel have said that the last thing they would want is for US soldiers to risk their lives to defend Israelis,” he said. Activist Cindy Sheehan revives anti-war efforts

By Oren Dorell , USA TODAY Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan is restarting her campaign against wars in Iraq and Afghanistan today, setting up tents and teaching protest seminars near the Washington Monument . Dubbed “Camp OUT NOW,” the protest is geared to pressure President Obama and Democrats , whom Sheehan says have abandoned the anti-war cause now that they have control of the White House and Congress. “Obama said there’d be one combat battalion coming home per month, and that has not happened,” Sheehan says. “We still have significant troops in Iraq, and he’s ramped up in Afghanistan. “I don’t think this is what people understood they were voting for. I think they were voting for a change.” White House officials declined to comment. Read More Here.
